Good app to introduce people to the game. The AI is not the most intelligent. I can chase the eagle down and win in the first turns every game, or if I play the game destroying pieces then keep after the eagle I always win. Actually, I have never lost and have no experience with the game. I get tired at some point and just pin the eagle. Fun, but needs some optimization work for a more difficult AI.

I'd like to be able to review my moves and the AI moves at the end of a game, and also to study the game board/final positions. A button to dismiss or hide the game-over screen would be good. A score table with stats (win/lose count; number of moves; access to each game's list of moves) would be great.

I'd say, a game which survived two thousand years is certainly worth downloading. The developers of this app did a very good job. It is a very entertaining time killer. By the way: I love the "worn-down" user interface.

Excellent. I love it. But would make one suggestion. After the game is over, after announcing the winner , please allow me to go back and examine the board. I like to work on compositions.

Really well-made but please add the possibility of playing versus another person, like local match

About this app

Latrones or latrunculi - a free board game strategy of Ancient Rome. The full name is Ludus latrunculorum (Latin “the game of brigands”). It is considered as an ancestor of checkers and pettys. The game’s purpose is to create a situation when the opponent can’t move (all his pieces are captured or stand under the lock). The rules of the game are simple: pieces go in four sides, but not diagonally. If the piece is surrounded by 2 opposite sides, it is captured and removed from the board. If the main figure of the enemy "Eagle" has no moves - you have won! Board size 8x12.

Added PvP-mode
