If it looks familiar, it should. Star Jim is a remake of the obscure arcade title Bomb Jack, with a new cosmic hero and the politically touchy bombs replaced with glittering stars. There's a remarkable level of polish here despite being created by a two man development team... picturesque starscapes decorate the playfields and the music is friendly and laid back, a fine complement to the action. The touchscreen controls make the game more frustrating than it ought to be, but Star Jim is still an excellent way to satisfy your hunger for Bomb Jack when you're away from home.
