Swarm Simulator was a neat and fun game with the familiar type of idle clicker gameplay with some slight twists. The graphics were surprisingly fun to look at, and each creature had a full model and little animations. The game has your standard "reset to get stronger" replay elements, but unfortunately a couple of days after my first reset I found that the upgrades were pretty uninteresting and I slowly lost interest in continuing. It was fun, and I recommend you try at least one playthrough!

The game is fun and in the beginning you're paying attention and really upgrading your stuff but after a while you're only getting on for about five minutes to spend all your resources before you wait another five hours or so for your resources to build back up and repeat the process. Super simple and easy to understand game. I enjoy the graphics and it's not overly complicated.

I was a fan of the og swarm sim on Kongregate. The 3d graphics are nice, but i find myself missing the compact scrolling menus. Other than wishing for a few QOL features such as remembering upgrade settings, its just how I remember. To those who complain the game slows down, or complain about spending x amount of time on one qscension or about the golden bugs: the game is faster than the 2d version. Everything is the same except new graphics and feaures. You just need to make better choices.

It's almost been a year since I started playing this version of the game. First of all, it runs great, and the player oriented design of the crystal system is nearly perfect to me. I didn't feel forced to pay for the extras, but I did because I wanted to support this kind of design. As for the gameplay, it was incredibly fun but has stagnated after a few months and now I'm just grinding gold bugs and killed fiznik for the 100th time today. Leaderboard stopped working last update unfortunately...

I love the game. Progression in this game feels rewarding. It's a great way to kill a few minutes. There was even a new update that now shows the total units you gain from entomology. For example if, if the base amount of units you would gain is 30, and you have entomology up to 100% it would show the total of 60 (30+30) on the HATCH "button." After you press the HATCH "button," the units you gained from both your base, then your entomology bonus pops up, the first being your base, then the entomology bonus. This makes it easier, and more accessible to tell how many total units you get, instead of either having to guess, or do the calculations yourself.

I find this to be a satisfying, visually appealing idle game with a neat concept and decent interactivity. It is a great surprise to see a decent amount of effort put into an idle game. That being said, I wouldn't get too into it if you don't have $10 laying around for the "no ads pack." You may think "oh, I'm fine with ads", but its more than that. It additionally improves the speed at which vital resources are generated, meaning you aren't stuck looking at the screen for twice as long.
