This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Times Table Mountain on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Simple program for practising times tables. My pupils like challenging themselves to complete the questions faster each time. Not wildly exciting but fun for daily practice.

About this app

Completely redesigned and updated from the original PC game, Times Table Mountain offers a great way of practising, and tracking the learning of, all the times table facts.

As well as levels for each of the times tables, the app also has levels which address the objectives for each year group in the new UK Maths Curriculum for 2014:

Level 12 – Year 2
Level 13 – Year 3
Level 14 – Year 3
Level 15 – Year 4
Level 18 – Year 4

The Times Table Mountain app will keep a record of the best time a mountain was climbed in. In addition, if mistakes are made, these are reported. If no mistakes are made you are awarded a ‘King of the Mountain’ badge, well deserved and evidence of your progress though the different levels.
