This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Dark Stories on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. It is an excellent game to play with your friends. But when I opened the app today it didn't load any stories. It's only showing a grey screen. I've tried reinstalling the app but still not working! No there is no error message. It shows all the story folders but only a blank screen comes up when I click on them

Poor quality of solving. There is not enough context to arrive to the solution. Almost any answer you think of would've been sufficient enough to explain the riddle. Only a few riddles were okay, but most were pretty bad.

Have used this app for a very long time. Suddenly most of the stories are locked even if I have seen them before. It used to only be a few that were locked so it's pretty dumb that some that I've read and solved are locked now. Edit: I've switched the device a few months back, but i remembered that all stories were unlocked except the last few chapters. I think I had this app since 2017 and saw a video abt this app on YT. (Mrwhosetheboss 2017)

The glitch I was talking about? GONE! They actually listened and I really appreciate that. I would really reccomend you play this and see if your friends can solve the riddles!

The stories are mostly either funny or a little sad. The answers are really hard to find because they can be rediculous, sometimes to hard to guess based on the info you get, it may only say "there was a murder, no ones suprised" that's all the info you get! so maybe if you are going to need to guess something hard give a little more info?

Awesome, fantastic, even throught i have found this app just now, I know a couple of stories too, years ago... First time i was introduced a to a couple of them while camping, but Im ever more glad that there is an app for this, hope more stories come in the future ;)

ATTENTION!

THIS GAME IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED WITH FRIENDS IN PERSON. IF YOU ARE ALONE YOU CANNOT PLAY!

Dark Stories is an easy to play and fun game but some of the stories are quite difficult. All the stories are fictional. To solve them, the players will need to prove their skills as detectives.


HOW TO PLAY
Dark Stories must be played in group. A person -chosen as narrator- picks a mystery and reads its description aloud.
Then he/she reads its solution without telling the other people. The rest of the players then have to make questions in order to solve the mystery.

The narrator can only answer the questions using "Yes", "No" or "It is not relevant". The only possible solution is the one given at the back of each mystery card. If the answer is still not clear enough, the players must follow the narrator's interpretation of the mystery.


EXAMPLE
A typical fragment of a gameplay could be:

Player1: "Did he die because of the shot?"
Narrator:"No"
Player2: "Was he poisoned?"
Narrator: "No"
Player3: "Did he have children?"
Narrator: "It's not relevant"
Player1: "Are there other people in the story?"
Narrator: "No"
Player2: "Did he commit suicide?"
Narrator: "Yes"
...


END OF THE GAME
When the narrator considers that the story has been solved enough, the narrator can conclude the game and read the whole solution.

It is up to the narrator to give some clues if the story is in a deadlock.
