About this app

Pan is a card game popular in Poland that is played with a deck of 24 cards containing, in order from lowest to highest value, nines, tens, jacks, queens, kings and aces.

All the cards are dealt to the players, and the player who received the nine of hearts, starts the game by putting it on the table. Players take turns in a fixed order. A card can only be played if it has the same or higher value than the top card on the table. If the player cannot or does not want to play a card, they take the top three cards from the pile (excluding the initial nine of hearts).

Either one card or four cards of the same value can be played at a time. Three cards can be played if other conditions are met, which vary depending on the variant of the rules. The application also includes a variant called "spades reverse", in which the turn reverts back to the previous player when a spade card appears on the table.

The last player with cards in hand loses a round and receives one of the letters P-A-N. Whoever collects all three letters first loses the entire match.
