At the heart of this game is a really great turn based model with a neat addition of card deck building that adds to the strategy. The developers also appear to be active and making updates which is another positive. Unfortunately there a few negatives: There is a Halls of Sorrow challenge/skirmish, that provides rewards, but quickly becomes a repetitive grind. It would be nice if different arenas could be added rather than the same one every time. It would also be nice to see some other Chaos characters added such as demons, chaos marines to mix it up a bit. There is another challenge called Fall of Kanak, but I cant work out how you get the skulls to play this. The times I have been able to play it, it was even more of a bore than then the Halls of Sorrow and seemed to rely less on strategy. Also seemed even more difficult to gain any rewards so I’ve abandoned even trying. There is multiplayer, that has rewards, but again the rewards are so small and to get anything worth while would mean spending hours playing consistently, and I don’t have the time. Again it does also become a bit repetitive with the same arenas and limited characters. I do also wish they would allow you to save multiple decks against the armour classes, as my cards change for multiplayer/challenge/campaign. All of this is a shame as it would be nice to level up/unlock some new characters and the other campaign. As it is I’m losing interest but may look at Switch version as I believe that’s less of a reward based system and I’d rather pay up front and enjoy the game than have to wait longer to unlock rewards. So for me, great game at its core. Just undone a bit by the repetitive grinding rewards system and lack of variety once the immediate campaign is complete.

Used to love this game until it kept telling me it was outdated and the only options were to play or uninstall. I did EVERYTHING the developers told me to: clear the cache of Google play, uninstall then reinstall, restart the phone, hop on one foot in a clockwise direction with my tongue hanging out, eat a banana without peeling it, spit into the wind, and jump off a bridge......nothing worked. Thanks for the waste of time.

The gameplay mechanics and graphics save this from being 1 star. Enemies can use cards that the player doesn't even have access to, making them overpowered. The fact that cards can "break" in the forge is one of the dirtiest ways I've seen a developer try to drive monetization.

The game is a spectacular example of turn based warfare systems, using deep lore and stunning graphics to keep you coming back for more. The Character selection is comprised of a strong range of complex yet combinable skill sets. My one issue is a lacking regeneration system among each character, such as a med pack card, etc. Certain missions, mainly the final chapters added victory conditions would be more attainable with a method of healing squadmates, or adding an apothecary to the line up.

The latest update, which changes the gameplay really sucks. The new PvP arena looks like no effort at all was put into it. Why are you fixing something that ended up even more broken than before? $$$

I love 40k and the idea of this game but the execution is just terrible. After about mission 5 it becomes very hard ad thw fact you are randomly given cards just ruins any actual strategy because you cannot plan anything. It's just slow and boring.
