Amazingly well made game. The combat mechanic is simple, yet let's you grow as you progress through the game. The difficultly curve adjusts really well. The story, while not increadible, does it's job. Plus the addition of perma death makes it so much better. I would highly recommend keeping that turned on if you are giving it a try.

I have two main issues with the game. First is the fact that enemies crit you absurdly often, especially given how rarely you crit them, and when you are consistently fighting 3 enemies at a time, that damage adds up fast. This is a problem made worse by how the sanity system is implemented. When an enemy attacks you lose sanity, this is a problem when you get crit so often. Update: Got Crit 5 times in a row by one guy. Don't bother trying to play this game without two attacks mode on.
