UPDATE: The app is receiving updates and has almost fixed the issue with the icon (if the icon is displayed on a black background, it is nearly invisible), though the feature of instant Gif when the app is launched is perfect. PRIOR TO UPDATE:This has just released and it obviously needs much more with done too bring it to a hassle free, smooth flowing and enjoyable experience. Firstly, the app icon is not too any decent standard, the app itself is basic, when launching the app each time, you are geared with a large and pixelated loading animation, which will remain indefinitely, only when you click the 'get giff'n' button, will the actual loading animation show, then bringing you a selected random gif. A large portion of the screen real estate is taken up by a 'sponsor' banner at the bottom saying 'powered by giphy' (which is not interactive) the banner is larger than the get gif button (obviously this should be the other way around). My feedback would be, remove the button to get the gif, taps and swipes of the gif area would be much more modern (with the ability to swipe back to previous GIFs). Remove the ugly plain white surrounding of the gif, and have a blurring effect of the gif itself as the background. Adding the ability to sign in via giphy' to then favourite GIFs by tap and holding on a gif in gif it up. The title of the game itself doesn't need to be present once the game begins (taking more valuable gameplay real estate screen space up). Lastly I've noticed a selection of GIFs repeating in a very short space of time, obviously this is just embarrassing when playing the game with others, so a better random gif algorithm is required, but a further improvement would be the ability to 'like' and 'dislike' GIFs shown, to better every users experience (I seem to get a large number of Spanish and Brazilian GIFs/ foreign text advertising.... Being only English speaking, the has already become awful and means constant skipping of GIFs being shown. I look forward to seeing this app improved and have some great and hilarious moments with it.
