What a joke. The game forces you to start on the easiest difficulty, so I did, and then literally one move before I was going to checkmate the CPU, a full-volume ad popped up, and then it inexplicably said the game was a draw. It was not even close to a draw. Somehow, this app managed to screw up one of the oldest and most carbon-copied games on the planet. Making a chess game is literally like programming 101. Truly embarrassing.

nice free game to either learn on or just play at random whenever you'd like. you must beat each of the levels before you can advance to the next one so you can get stuck at a particular level for quite sometime without being able to play any higher. Not necessarily a bad thing considering that if you can't beat the level you're on, why would you want to try a higher level? If you're a narcissist with rage issues then that might not apply.

AMAZING GAMEPLAY! After every match you might have an ad or two but the gameplay is SO SMOOTH! After every move it tells you where you can and cannot place that piece so you can see where you would have the best move. It even highlights your opponents move so you can see where he/she went. Amazing game overall, a little less ads and I would rate it five stars.

I absolutely love chess and downloaded this app to play, but I do not understand why if the match goes for longer than a certain amount of time, checkmate is considered a draw. This isn't an "everyone is a winner" type game. In a normal chess match, this would consider the opponent a loss. I won't give this app 5 stars for this reason. Appreciate some of the features, the different levels of difficulty on the computer opponent is very nice, but until this changes, I will sadly remove this app.

This chess game offers puzzles for solution. The problem is that its algorithms only offer a very limited solution path. This is usually most painful in a 4 or 5 move puzzle, where the final mate move can be done by more than one piece. The game will only recognize one successful move when mate can be made for example by the queen OR a rook, etc... either way is A valid mate but the game doesn't recognize..

It cheats you out of checkmate. I literally was a square away from checkmate after eliminating the computers pieces, leaving only a king. This has occurred on at least three separate games. In the most recent instance I had a queen and a rook with another queen on the way. If the game surrendered and gave you the win that would be great, but it robs you of a win.
