Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MTG XRay on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

Search is almost unusable. Importing is broken. Unable to sort by multi color. I feel bad for whomever paid for this. Importing a Text file is non working. Copy, paste, click add_no response Click update_ no response. Searching by exact card name gives no results. Load times are unbearable for a simple search and add database. Look at Decked Builder app, that is how an app should function.

Once I got the hang of it, couldn't put it down. Mana tuning is great for constructed.

Tell XRay the top 4 cards you want in your deck and let it solve the rest with "Think". The results are based off XRay "goldfishing" millions of games and counting which decks played the most mana and curved out the best.

Today - we are focused on Limited. So expect this to work very well for Sealed pools and Draft decks. Any functions specifically for Constructed 60 is experimental (Xray doesn't understand constructed synergies yet), Commander (we don't have commander cards nor functions yet).

The cards in Standard are available in your deck lists. Important mechanics like dual mana, slow lands, fast lands, mana rocks and mana dorks are programmed in.
Mana is the fundamental theory of what makes a good limited deck and should teach new players how to build basic curves by example, and experienced players can go very deep tweaking / fine-tuning scenarios.
