About this app

Have you ever wanted to play against a real AI? An AI which studies your actions, learns to emulate your every move, and eventually manages to beat you using the skills you taught it?

Well now you can, with GakuBot Mimic AI!

GakuBot Mimic is a simple arcade game where you compete with against a computer AI to get to the objective. Once a round finishes, the AI studies your moves from the previous round, learns from them, and then utilizes those newly acquired skills in the next round.

Aim:
The aim of the game is to get the brown objective ("home") in the center bottom of the screen before the AI does.

Tagging:
If you touch the AI, then the player who is closest to home at that time is "tagged" and frozen in place for a few seconds. Therefore, don't let the AI tag you if you are closer to home!

Strategy:
Will you go straight to home? Or will you wait for the AI to make a move in an effort to tag them? And what will the AI do?

Machine learning:
The AI in this game is a liquid state network that is incrementally improved using the data of the players actions. Each round, the AI undergoes supervised learning to better emulate the player.

Modes:
Classic mode too easy? Then try out hulk mode, in which the opponent is much bigger, and has a much more longer lasting tag than in classic mode.

Classic mode too slow? Then flash mode is what you are looking for. Roughly three times as fast as classic mode, you need to be on your toes to outwit this speedy AI.
