It is an interesting chess variant. All chess games are more or less with a military background going back to ancient times.. Wehrschach reflects more the tactics of the modern age. The origin of the dark Nazi times throws a long shadow on this game. Nevertheless the tactics used in this game are quite up to date, which I can judge as a former officer of the armored infantry.

Fun Game. Not sure why the game icon is different in the paid version? It is still a cool variation of chess.

Amazed I found a digital version of this game...I own an original hard copy...but never thought I would be avail able online. Thanks for this gem!!!!

Thank you for saving it into the digital age. Though the origins of the game are from a darker time in human history, TakTik / Wehrschach is still a very interesting version of Chess. It is nearly impossible to find an original boardgame outside a museum.
