App is well built and works nicely but makes the game unplayable. You cannot complete any of the levels as you take a silly amount of damage every turn with monsters getting buffs every turn and they constantly respawn. Then there are run limits too so either you die to the monsters, or if you try and avoid them you run out of time. Needs to be made more balanced because it's currently not fun to play the app version of the game.

The App allows you to have hours of fun with the board game in a completely different way to the base game, for free (initial campaign). I really enjoy the atmosphere and extra immersion created by the app. Overall I think its excellent. One major omission however is the lack of an 'undo' button in case you click the wrong button, please please add this. Also a dedicated save button to save exactly where you are is also another must. Would have been 5 stars if not for these two ommisions. Thanks

Moved phones to OnePlus 8. Crashes on startup every time. Also, since there appears to be no way to backup account, we will lose all progress if it does work!

Not what i thought. I wanted a co op variant of the boxed game but this app has app only campaigns. Thats fine, but i bought the boxed game thinking i could play it co op with the app without additional purchases. You will have to buy more campaigns through the app to play co op with it and your boxed campaigns are not playable this way, just to be clear. That said, more cheap campaigns you can buy on the app is a good way to expand the game and the app is well made. -1 star for reasons above

I will say this, the game is very contradictory. The idea is to be overwhelmed in the game by the overlord but not to feel like everything is wasted. Exploration is discouraged because each quest is put on a time limit but at the same time if you dont explore the game punishes you by increasing the difficulty exponentially. Also some of the side quest are to difficult for any amount of players. Monsters just keep spawning so nothing can be done. It makes the game irritating and not fun at all.4⭐

The app is ok. Not enough campaigns for just the base game or at all really, No campaigns from the book, only 1 for base game. Campaigns are WAY to hard following rules.... Damage end of round with no escaping it. Roll defense, take damage everyround. On a time limit + monsters respawn, Makes playing not fun at all.... Needs more features like what round you're on, details on round history. Needs to have a very easy option. Not happy with app and will be playing overlord myself.
