This game is pretty damn good, as other commenters have brought to notice, its most noticeable aspect is the consequences behind your decisions, which, no matter how small or appaerently inconsequential, end up having long lasting repercurssions and impact later events, as opposed to other games where it would either have no impact beyond a change in numerical values or steer you in a plot direction. My only two issues with the game are its lenght, as it can be finished pretty quickly and replay value has a limit, though I know this was more of a project and you're working on other, better, ones, so that's good; and the portability, I'm playing on a Samsung Galaxy A5 and the game barely fit in my screen, the text was mostly fine but the UI was completely displaced, and nowhere was this more apparent than when choosing how to seize the throne, where I could barely see the options.

Great short story game. Some replayability but not much as the same scenarios occur each game (with slightly different starting setups available). Would love some variety on that front.

Keeps crashing whenever I start it

I loved this game, I just wished it went on for longer, maybe you could add you on a quest to conquer the entire world after you become Kibg of Arlend. You should make it the only way you can start this conquest is by having the ending where you make Borovia a vassal state of Arlend. Do this and you'll recieve that fifth star.

I like this game and our choices actually impacts the way we win but can you make it longer? Maybe like the nobles escaped the country and joined another country and waged war againts our country or something like that. If you do that you'll get your fifth star

About this app

Regicide is a text-based role-playing game where every choice you make matters. Take the role of Duke Blackwood, the young heir of an ancient noble family, as he seeks revenge for the murder of his father. All around you the kingdom of Arlend, your homeland, is being ravaged by war, disease, and countless other threats. Will you become a hero of the peasants, or will you seize every advantage no matter who gets hurt?

Gather or use resources, forge alliances or make enemies on your path to seize the throne of Arlend. Make difficult choices, the effects of which will echo through the entire game. Navigate your way through a maze of events and reach your own climactic ending, chosen to match your previous decisions from thousands of possibilities.

This version of Regicide was specifically built for research into the IDEA (Interactive Dynamic Event-based Agency) system. Data collection for this research is now done and the application no longer transmits any kind of data to us. Thanks to all those who participated!
