This is really cool. My brother and I drifire all the time in our basement. I like the way the app keeps track of my progress. Such a good alternative and money saver as opposed to going to the range. I let my kids use it also to teach them gun safety in a very safe way. Will be purchasing other caliber rounds for all my other firearms. Great job Strikeman.

Once we figured it out, we had a blast. We were too excited and wanted to use it right away and didn't watch the videos. Check out the videos while you are waiting for it to come in to get a better understanding of how it works. Then set it up and enjoy. We love getting to practice and save on ammo. I am giving them as gifts!

Awesome Product/App! Easily allows the user to practice without having to sacrifice the ammunition which is currently hard to come by. The app allows the user to see where Corrections are needed while holding the firearm. Highly recommended!

Excellent software - very accurately tracks the laser hits on the target. Easy to use but needs a "favorites" feature so you don't need to configure everything from scratch each time you use it.

I shoot CAS and have a CCW permit. The setup for this is awkward and cumbersome using the supplied smart phone holders. Wish there was an auto lock on target feature with phone. The suction cups for the target are useless. Some settings are saved but, can not save different training settings. Would like to see 1 shot traing sessions and actual beep when timer starts. It's ok as a trainer but needs work.

Quite a lot to get used to but overall excellent, particularly the shooting practice. Bit difficult calibrating because of phone wanting to wobble a bit on the tripod - just need more practice probably. This is a winner for dryfire exercises.

About this app

The Strikeman app allows users to practice their shooting skills without the need for real ammunition. Using our laser bullet, target and smart phone mount, the app records the target and records the users shot scores based on where the laser hit the target.

The app is composed of 3 sections:

Section 1 – Training

The training section is the initial area of the app where the user can practice their shooting skills. Upon beginning a session, a warning screen is shown to ensure that proper firearm safety is taking place before beginning a session. Once the user agrees, the target appears on the screen. The user calibrates the screen to the target by using two fingers to cover the circumference of the target. Then, the distance from the target is selected and they can begin shooting. Each shot from the firearm triggers a laser, which emits a laser strike on the target, and the app records the score. Shooting metrics appear on the screen to show the user how they are doing during the session. This is accompanied by audio. Once the session is complete, all shots will be shown on the target and saved into an archive.

Section 2 – History

The history section provides screenshots, shooting metrics, and graphs for the user to track their progress. This includes average score, average range, total shots and total sessions. The information is presented on a histogram and a pie chart. This information is saved in an archive.

Section 3 – Settings

The settings section allows the user to turn on/off gun shot audio and voice feedback. Users can toggle the distance metric, selecting either feet or yards. They can also report an issue if the app isn’t working correctly. The App provides access to the initial tutorial to ensure that all safety precautions are being taken.
