About this app

5e Combat Tracker is an app designed to help D&D 5th Edition DMs and GMs keep track of combat and initiative counts using their Android Device.

Using information pulled from an online D&D API (http://www.dnd5eapi.co/), the DM can insert monsters, players, and NPC characters into the combat. Monsters and NPCs have their health, initiative, status, and death saves tracked to help speed up combat and reduce the need for physical notes.

Players simply have their initiative and status tracked, as the players will naturally keep track of their own health and death saves. Saving a combat and loading it again later is possible, allowing for a combat to be split between sessions more easily.

Please note the app requires an internet connection to use.

To get started just open the app, and start adding players, NPCs and monsters as required. All players will need their name and initiative value entered. For monsters simply enter their name (must be a valid name from official material), and how many of them you want in the combat. Custom NPCs can also be added.

Once complete click next and the combat will be generated. Initiative is rolled for all monsters randomly, using their dexterity modifier appropriately. Note special monster features that would give them advantage/disadvantage or another bonus are not currently included.
