This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Dattrax Kade (Free version) on PC Windows and Mac.

Go to www.kade.mobi to get started developing games for your Android. Simply download this app, hook it up to your account on the web, and play your games on your phone or tablet! This is a great tool to get started programming with. Developed to introduce you to the basics of programming.

Many development environments fall into two categories - they're either simply drag-drop "graphical" environments that don't really introduce you to software development in any meaningful way, or they're professional, object-orientated coding languages that are way to complex to get started with.

Kade hits the middle-ground, allowing you to quickly develop neat programs that teach you about using "for-next" loops, "if-then-else" logic, "while" loops, and so on. Not only that, but it's designed to build games, with a full graphics engine built in.

The Free version of the app only allows a maximum of 2-minutes per run of your game, so you can get a feel for it working, but that's it. It also limits you to adding one "non-public" developer; ideal for you, but limits your ability to easily play games from your friends. No worries - just buy the Full version of the app and these limits are gone.
