This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Composite Express on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

A fun and interactive way for undergraduate students to learn the fundamentals of composite micromechanics. This app covers basic concepts including The Rule of Mixtures, Halpin Tsai and Transformation. Use the 'FreePlay Mode' to try out building your own composite ply or challenge yourself in the 'Game Mode' to get to the end with the highest score.

In app instructions are given throughout. Designed to go alongside a composites course building on basic materials science and mechanical properties understanding.

This app has been a result of a collaboration by researchers from University of Edinburgh and IIT Kharagpur as part of MEng thesis of Madeleine (madeleinedeforest@gmail.com), supervised by Dr. JAIN (atuljain@mech.iitkgp.ac.in).
