About this app

The object of the game is to score the maximum number of points. The maximum possible points in the game is 41, hence the name of this Indonesian draw and discard game.

Card game is optimized for both phones and tablets. Tablet views take advantage of the added screen space and is larger sized for easy view and play. Application developed as part of a class assignment at Lorain County Community College (LCCC).

Rules:
There is a single deck of 52 cards. When the “Play” button is pressed, the online player is dealt four cards face up from the deck and the computer player is dealt four cards face down. The remainder of the deck becomes the draw stack (deck face down) and one card is placed on the discard pile (cards face up). The player takes a card from the draw stack or the discard pile. After a player takes a card, the player must discard a card which goes face up on the discard pile.

On Level 1, the game ends and a winner declared when the player presses the “Knock” button, the computer player has four cards of the same suit, or the deck is depleted. On Level 2, the same rules apply once the online player or the computer player reach the indicated number of points.

The game declares a winner based on the highest score (number of points) between the online player and the computer player. Points aggregated by suits; the suit with the highest points used to subtract the value of all other suits from the points. For example, the online player has four cards as follows: Ace of Hearts (11 points), 2 of Clubs (2 points), 9 of Hearts (9 points), and Jack of Hearts (10 points). The computer player has four cards as follows: 4 of Diamonds (4 points), 3 of Diamonds (3 points), Queen of Diamonds (10 points), and King of Diamonds (10 points). The game ends because computer player has four cards same suit. The online player is declared winner. The online player has 28 points (11 - 2 + 9 + 10) and the computer player has 27 points (4 + 3 + 10 + 10).
