Scimitar is a space warrior conquest arcade shooter Game where the object is to hunt for and Mine Gold from Asteroids by blowing them to smithereens. Steer your Spaceship and fire your torpedoes and destroy the Asteroids before they destroy your rocket ship!

After your rocket ship has blown the Asteroid to smithereens, the gold is released and can be retrieved by moving the rocket ship over the Gold location. Race the clock to beat your friends time or to challenge yourself to see how fast and how efficiently you can manage your operations, by checking your stats screen and comparing scores.

The rocket ship can travel off-screen and can be flown by using the Radar Screen. All space ship weapons and control functionality is available while off-screen radar-navigating.

Gold that has been retrieved must be delivered to your Gold Vault, located under the Landing Pad, upon successful lander operations, landing safely with care not to over-speed or tilt too much and crash.

Use your Gold to upgrade your space ship Engine Power, to equip your rocket with Shields, or to increase the performance of your Torpedo Fire Rate so that your rocket ship can shoot faster and defend your space ship from attack by crazy asteroids.

Max out your shields, increase your Engine Power and upgrade your Torpedoes to Full-Auto Fast Rapid-Fire and you have a machine that will handle the toughest barrages of Asteroids!

Full Stats are available on the Stats Screen, which allows you to compete with other players on many levels: You can compete simply by comparing how much Gold is in your Vault, what Level you have reached, or even by comparing Accuracy and Efficiency.

Scimitar is a space shooter game that is great for playing in-between tasks, because it saves your place if you have to quickly answer a phone call or respond to an alert for email or social media. When you switch back to scimitar, it will be exactly where you left off, frozen in time with the clock stopped and ready to continue blasting away.

I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do. I designed scimitar thinking it would be cool to have a game that you could kill time with and be able to instantly jump off, and then jump back on at a later time when you are taking a break or wanting to let off a little steam. I always loved the simple asteroids game they used to have at the arcade when I was a kid. I wanted something like that, but with a whole different mission-based approach, with weapons upgrades and a reality-based in-game monetary system that you can use your skill to profit by an then benefit by the rewards of your hard-fought earnings.
