About this app

WordSpinners is an image-centric, trivia application, designed for Android phones and tablets. The app provides game scenes in portrait and landscape modes.

Objective:
The challenge is to identify 3 random images presented in each of 6 games. Three images are presented with animated text boxes under each image. The player should enter the name of each image below the images and then touch the [Submit] button. The player may pass on an image if the answer is not known. Images identified correctly will disappear from the page. Images incorrectly identified will remain on the page with the correct identity presented below. The player receives 1000 points for each correctly identified image. The idea is to identify all 18 images correctly in each session for a maximum of 18000 points. The session ends after 6 games and the player is instructed to continue on to the Home Page to enjoy another session.

How to Play
Touch [PLAY GAME] on the splash (home) page to spin the wheel. The spinner wheel disappears to transition over to the game themes for player selection.

The Theme Page
The Theme page reveals 6 game theme icons. Touch any theme icon for the group you wish to challenge and identify. The corresponding Game page will appear with 3 theme images.

The Game Page
Touch [GO PLAY]. Three random images for the theme are presented on the Game page, and spinning text boxes appear below each image. You should write the names of the 3 images in the text box below each image, then touch the [SUBMIT] button. The correctly identified images will disappear from the scene along with their identities. However, any incorrectly identified image will remain on the scene with the correct identity displayed in the text box below the image. Touch [CONTINUE] to move on to the Summary page.

The Summary Page
The Summary page appears with a detailed recap of the preceding game. The game theme or a congratulatory statement is shown above. A list of your answers provided during the game for each image is displayed on the left with a corresponding list of correct answers displayed on the right. Below the lists, your game score, the accumulated session score, and a brief message to players are displayed. You should then touch [CONTINUE] to move on to another game.

After 6 games are played, you will hear a clear applause and you will be instructed to touch the [CONTINUE] button. You will then be redirected to the Home page to start a new session.
