Graphics and animation looked great on nexus 7. Good storyline, nice tie in to story by HP Lovecraft and the dialogue was actually pretty good between characters. Zoom on ho games works great. Had no problems with combining objects like others seem to have had. Nice mix of problem solving action, hog, and puzzles. Only flaw was that the puzzles weren't that challenging. But it kept me engaged for an evening and at a pretty cheap price so I feel I got my money's worth.

The game is enjoyable until hitting a progress stopping bug. You cannot combine items on Android. Tapping on an inventory item offsets the item so you cannot drag low enough to combine items in your inventory. The developer forums indicate it works on iOS and a few Android tablets /phones. But, there are many complaints and confirmed cases on Android phones and tablets that this is a problem. The problem was reported 2 years ago but has still not been addressed.

This game is a very balanced H.O. adventure with many different puzzles, inventory based, H.O., puzzles based on assembling a picture, completing a circuit, pressing buttons in the correct sequence and many more. The introduction is a plot giveaway as it immediately mentions the Necronomicon and elder beings that have built an ancient city thus ruining whatever suspense there was. However the game progresses smoothly and the game remains interesting throughout its whole duration. Nevertheless this is a game based on an H.P. Lovecraft novel and the truth should have been revealed gradually to the player as he progressed through the game, much like it happens in the novels.

At the Mountains of Madness is one of my favorite novellas, I always look forward to anything Lovecraft based. I would rate this higher if I could actually play this game. I should have listened to other reviewers, because I am having the same problem of not being able to combine items. Very disappointed. Will demand a refund if not patched soon.

Based on one of my favorite Lovecraft works. The source material is great and graphics are great but the mechanics of combining objects is broke. If you are on a rooted device you can adjust your device resolution and dpi to get things working as intended however, we shouldn't have to jump through hoops. Big Fish should worry less about the quantity of games they create and more about quality. Disappointing.

I am unable to combine items on my galaxy s5. The items in the inventory hover above my finger when touched and cannot be dragged down far enough to be combined in the inventory panel. I cannot play the game because of this design flaw. Please resolve this issue!
