I bumped into this app while looking for Brazilian Portuguese for my kids, 3yr & 5yr olds. In comparison with other free apps found here, it is an excellent app. The number of categoties are very good as well the examples within the category. The pronunciation is clear, human and precise with slow repetition for accuracy. So far the best in its level.

The child can hear the pronunciation in two speeds and even learn how to spell the word.
