JumpinSauceRS is a space shooter game aims to allow blind and visually impaired individuals to play a mainstream game with their sighted friends.

We have two versions available to download, this one is the free version. If you like what we’re doing and wish to support us then please purchase the paid version, your contribution goes into helping us develop the games accessibility and the evolution of a game world/universe called "The Mists of Audazzle". If you pay for the game your unique Mists of Audazzle character will receive a medal of honour showing you have supported our mission.

• CHILD FRIENDLY APP
This game does not contain in app purchases of any kind. Your child will be given the option to enter an email to receive their profile details, username and password will be completely random safeguarding your child’s identity. Their profile will be used to save their high scores in the Audazzle hall of fame, nothing else. We do collect anonymous usage information to help us improve our services and applications.

CONTROLS

Basic controls are use device "tilt" to go forward, backward, left and right.
Please wait to listen to instructions, tips and game narrative between levels.
Triple tap to progress to the next level or tap the on screen buttons.

KNOWN ISSUES

We have a number of known issues as far as accessibility is concerned in the simple space shooter.

For users with no sight please try with and without headset or ear buds (and please make sure you have left ear / right ear set up correctly)

Known Issues

1. There is no specific support for native voice over / screen reader for either iOS or Android. Instead users of all devices need to be connected to the internet to have TTS. However we request you toggle voice over if the game seems to have stopped. Right at the start iOS users are asked by their phone to allow location information. This may also help after level 1 completion where you are asked to enter your email.

2. Upon completing each level (to the sound of cheers and applause) pause and wait instructions, if no instructions come triple tap to continue.

3. Upon completing level 1, you should receive an important message about "Incarnation" this is effectively your birth into the a future fantasy game world that will link all our forthcoming games and or iterations of this game. Make a note of your username should you need to contact us for support. There is an issue accessing the email registration form if you have no sight, we found our daughter needed help at this point and we are looking for suggestions to overcome this.

4. The game over screen has three buttons and they are not accessible, unfortunately this means non sighted users will get stuck in a loop of continuing at the level they reached until they complete the game. A solution is underway but we want to release the game at this early stage for as much feedback as possible.

New features

We are excited about the training level as it includes some shooting practise and the first glimpse of intelligent gun sight with audio buzz when you can/should have fired a missile.
Do "claim" or "reclaim" when at the incarnation level. Leave TalkBack on for sending and receiving game messages and more stuff that is directly linked to the game.
