This is definitely not a kids game. It's much too hard for kids. They had multi colored tiles that they had to match, and from the start they only had a minute to finish. Definitely not for kids.

This is more like a matching game than mahjong. You don't actually have to make sure tiles are 'open' to be able to remove them from the board. Just click on any two that are the same. If you're hoping to teach kids rules of mahjong you should look elsewhere. If you want to give them a matching game that looks sort of like mahjong this is a great game.
