should have just left it to original minesweeper and created an entirely separate game for word sweeper

Use to be a classic Minesweeper app. For some reason it changed to this WordSweeper thing with Twitter links. Any 5 star reviews were probably from when it was still Minesweeper.

Bait and switch was confusing. made me think this was malwares. Revert it back and make Word sweeper its own app

What happened to the perfectly good minesweeper?? Why did you just replace it with whatever this new thing is. You could have just created a new app instead.

This app randomly installed itself while I was charging my phone. Wordsweeper did this completely on its own, without my involvement or permission, while my phone was locked. It also opened up a suspicious webpage in my browser when I tried to open the app. I don't know how this app infested my phone. This experience has been incredibly creepy, and I hope Google/Android removes this malware from the play store soon. Edit: the suspicious webpage url was random letters & numbers, NOT twitter.

About this app

Are you down for a challenge?

Introducing WordSweeper. With a whole new level of complexity.
Classic Minesweeper gets old really fast so we added a new dimension to the game. Numbers are too easy so we chose to be using words!

Have you heard of the games Wordle and Semantle? These are two of the most popular word games out there. One of them was even featured by the New York Times. WordSweeper brings the same charectaristics that such games have, and mix them really well with the good old minesweeper game.

The goal in WordSweeper simple. Don't press the "bomb" word. Each round a random word is chosen. Your goal is to flag all the locations where it might exist using a long press.

Example:
The exploding word is "Saturday"
Related Words (ex. "Sunday") - have three or more bombs in the 8 tiles surrounding them.
Partially Related Words (ex. "September") - two bombs
Non Related Words (ex. "Laundry") - one bomb

Sometimes the English words that our algorithm chooses are not commonly known. For that you will be able to press them once the round is over, and see their translation.

Good luck.
