نقدم أبجدية هجاء الأصابع للغات الإشارة العربية (ومن الجدير بالذكر طبعا أنه هناك أكثر من لغة إشارية في العالم العربي وحتى أكثر من نظام واحد للعبارة عن الحروف العربية بشكل يدوي.)

تُستخدم أبجدية هجاء الأصابع لمختلف الوظائف في لغات الإشارة منها قول أسماء الناس والأماكن واستعارة مصطلحات من اللغات المكتوبة. بالطبع لا تُستخدم للتعبير عن جمل كاملة وبغض النظر عن وظائفها المحدودة فمن المهم تعلمها كي يستطيع طالب لغة الإشارة تقديم نفسه وكذلك قد تهم المدرسين الذين ينوون تدريس اللغة العربية للطلاب الصم.

نقترح دراسة القائمة على صفحة التعلم للتعرض على هذه الأبجدية التي قد أصبحت النظام المعياري في مختلف المناطق العربية ثم التدريب عليها على صفحة الاختبار وصفحة اللعبة. هذه اللعبة تفيد في تحسين قدرات الفرد على تلقي الإشارات بصريا فالفرد يستطيع تحديد طول الكلمات وسرعة تقديمها بطريقة تشبه استخدامها في الواقع. الكثير ممن يدرس لغة الإشارة يتعلم أداة الإشارات دون أن يتدرب على التلقي فلا يفهم الناس الصم بشكل كامل. لذلك صُنعت هذه اللعبة التي قد تفيد طالب الإشارة في خطوة أولى نحو حل تلك المشكلة. نقترح أيضا أن يبدأ الطالب بكلمات قصيرة وسرعة منخفضة قبل رفع الصعوبة.

We present the Arabic fingerspelling alphabet (and it is worth mentioning of course that there is more than one sign language in the Arab world) and even more than one system for manually expressing Arabic letters.

The fingerspelling alphabet is used for various functions in sign languages, including saying the names of people and places, and borrowing terms from written languages. Of course, it is not used for expressing complete sentences. Regardless of its limited functions, it is important to learn so that a sign language student can introduce themself. It also may interest teachers who intend to teach the alphabet to Deaf students.

We suggest studying the list on the “learning” page for exposure to the alphabet which has become the standard system in different parts of the Arab world, then practicing using the “game” page. This game is useful for improving one’s receptive skills. One may adjust the length of words and presentation speed. Many of those who study sign language learn to produce signs without practicing receptive skills and thereby do not fully understand the signing of Deaf people. For that reason, this app was created to help the sign language student in an initial step toward solving that problem. We also suggest that the student begin with short words and a lower speed before raising the difficulty.
