Compete for points, to reach the next level or just make up a level and try to beat it yourself.

Beware the evil purple things! They are pitiless and very, very round. They will track you down like a herd of drunken zombies and explode in your face like a badly planned graduation party. They are relentless. They have no relent. When it comes to the amount of relent they have it is very small, probably even zero. We have paid scientists to set out on a well funded expedition to search the seven and a half continents for any sign of relent but they have so far not found any. They have found some lint and a box of crayons but no relent. Not even any "lent". Also their grant money has disappeared. We need new scientists. If you are a scientist and would like to search for some relent please inquire within.

Have you played space invaders? Did you like space invaders? Were you tickled pink about how they seemed to invade while simultaneously being from space? Well, we've re-imagined space invaders and made it at least 17.34%* better. What would you say if I told you that you could now move in all *two* dimensions? Impossible you say? Well, we here at AdderTheBlack eat the impossible for breakfast! With milk! And also some TOAST! Sometimes fruit like either a banana or perhaps an orange; it really depends on what is available. Once we had Apples. Oh, we'll never see the likes of those days again! As a result you can now move in two dimensions! You remember those flying saucer thingies that used to fly around at the top of the screen? You can touch them now. They are squishy like marshmallows. Don't believe me? Why not!? I am trustworthy!

You can compete for points against yourself and others or try to get to the last level. Ah, but what if you keep dying and cannot get to the next level? We have thought of that: you can not die! You can, however fail to get to the next level. If your score is negative then you are not permitted to go to the next level. It's an imperfect system but we like it.

If you can't get past a level you don't have to keep fighting through the previous levels over and over again, instead you can practice by replicating the level using the level editor. That's what it's there for! Simply enter the magic numbers in the right order and you can replicate the level and practice all you want before trying it for real. What are the magic numbers? I'm not sure, but they are probably available on the internet. This is, after all, a highly popular game. Be careful, however: if you enter the wrong magic numbers you will summon the mighty Kraken! Ha ha, not really. We fixed that bug. For sure this time.

I suggest experimenting using the game editor. Using the game editor you can create some truly weird and interesting levels. I love making levels where the space invaders move so fast they fly off the edge of the screen. Where do they go? I'm not sure but they'll be back. Once, when they came back, they each had an ice-cream cone. I want an ice cream. Why can't I move off the side of the screen? They're all having a party without me! No wonder they are invading: they are a bunch of jerks.

Like the starry background effect? It comes free with the game. I mention this because sometimes people ask me.

This game does not have annoying ads between levels. It does not have any ads at all! We write games for the thrill of it! Everyday we come in and go "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this is thrilling". Sometimes we go too far and use up all of our "e"s. Then we have to go to the alphabet store. Fun times.

No 1s or 0s were harmed in the making of this game, although a 7 was beaten with a stick for being late.
