I've used the web-based version of this extensively, and it's a huge time-saver. It make life much easier for new players, but they may not learn the mechanics of the game as well as if they play everything manually. That means not understanding what's going on "under the hood" and building an intuitive understanding of the game situation. The user interface is confusing in parts, so you have to look through the documentation before you use the AVID Assistant. Since you'll be using this app intensively and constantly for a two-hour game (or more, for bigger games), that's OK. Once you understand the functions, everything works quickly. There are some controls hidden by long-press, which is a real problem. This may sound like a negative review, but you get so much benefit from this app that I strongly recommend it!
