Depuis 2017, la ville de Granby s’est donné comme ligne directrice d’ajouter des œuvres ludiques à l’image des animaux du Zoo de Granby, principale attraction du territoire indissociablement liée à la municipalité. Un volet numérique interactif permet de surprendre les visiteurs au cœur d’un monde où des animaux virtuels s’animent devant eux! Munis de leur téléphone intelligent, les participants sont invités à visiter un zoo virtuel en plein centre-ville de Granby à l’aide d’une application mobile de réalité augmentée. En collaboration avec le Zoo de Granby, un volet éducatif sous la forme de faits amusants permet aussi aux utilisateurs d’en apprendre davantage sur les divers animaux dévoilés à l’écran.

Since 2017, Granby has tasked itself with installing fun works of art representing the animals at the Zoo de Granby, the region’s main attraction and an inseparable part of the municipality. An interactive digital component that creates a surprising experience for visitors in a world where virtual animals come alive before their very eyes! Participants are invited to take their smartphones and, using an augmented reality mobile app, visit a virtual zoo right in the heart of downtown Granby. Designed jointly with the Zoo de Granby, the app also features an educational element that shares fun facts with users about the different animals revealed on-screen.
