Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing VCA Toolbox Archeologie on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

About this app

Om een veiligheidstraining te doen zijn er een aantal mogelijkheden. Een van de mogelijkheden is dit virtueel te doen. Een voordeel van deze manier is dat de toolbox ten allen tijden uitgevoerd kan worden. Deze app is gemaakt voor nieuwe werknemers die straks bij ons in het veld archeologische werkzaamheden gaan verrichten. Zo krijgen ze alvast wat kennis en vaardigheden in de wijze waarop de toolbox gedaan wordt. Eventuele vragen kunnen dan tijdens de officiele toolbox (vlak voor het project in het veld van start gaat) beantwoord worden.

Deze app werkt door middel van een stereoscopische manier van display. Je hebt dus een (kartonnen) VR bril nodig waarin je de telefoon zet. Het liefst een bril waarbij capactive toetsindrukken wordt ondersteund. Dat wil zeggen dat je dan in het level kan lopen door middel van een knopje indrukken op de bril. Heb je dit niet, dan zou je ook je vinger even door de bril kunnen steken en zo het scherm aanraken. Dan kom je ook vooruit. Dit heb je alleen even nodig in level 2 waar je daadwerkelijk de opgraving/ begeleiding gaat doen. Dus je begint daar met een LMRA. Een laatste minuut risico analyse. De bedoeling is dat je door middel van naar de "gevaren" te kijken de gevaren benoemd en bewust bent. Heb je ze allemaal benoemd dan mag je de put/ rioolsleuf in, om een foto te maken van het profiel (het uiteindelijke doel van je archeologische taak op deze locatie).

Deze app is bedoeld voor een virtuele toolbox voor nieuwe werknemers. Dit wordt gebruikt als referentie voor de 'echte' toolbox. De besturing is door middel van kijken naar objecten. De app is stereoscopisch, wat inhoudt dat je deze app bekijkt door je telefoon in een VR bril te doen. De beste VR bril hiervoor geschikt is er eentje met een 'capacitive' knop. In een latere update zal je ook kunnen lopen door naar collega's te kijken en die te volgen.
