Another app ruined by an upgrade. The buttons are too small, the zooming/ scrolling sucks and now you can't see where you're placing a tower under your thumb. I've had the game for over a year, but can't play this version. Will be uninstalling it. Update, I tried using the "options". An ad everytime you reset the game? I understand wanting to make money on a free ad, but after placing two towers and having to restart? I might try again in a year or so but this is pathetic.

Great game, but implementation issues The swarm tower is way too slow and too weak. A level 3 tower will take out maybe one or two of the 3rd wave of flying creeps on medium difficulty. Other than that, a reasonably good adaptation of a flash classic. The UI is tricky to get used to, but not impossible.

This update seems bugged. I realized my swarm towers are not shooting when hordes of air flies over, and sometimes not even doing any damage.

Sit through ads of you misplace a tower (shockingly easy). Sit through ads if you try to kill air units with the anti-air tower. Sit through ads if you try to kill air units without the anti-air tower. ~15 years ago i was active on this game's forums. I held a world record on a game mode. This is just unplayable.

The swarm tower seems bugged, the sound of it firing goes off, but it doesn't actually shoot its missiles. Seems to happen when several flying go over it. You can also here it firing when ground creeps are in its range killing its ability to fire on air units.

About this app

Desktop Tower Defense does not follow the generic Tower Defense game style. Unlike many other tower defense games, the path of the creeps themselves is not set; instead, the towers built determine the path of the creeps, who take the shortest path they can find to the exit. This allows for you to choose your own way of playing the game and it also allows for very interesting strategies.

Not only can you affect the path that the creeps follow, but you will also need to manage your finances and decide on whether it is more viable to build more turrets or upgrade your existing ones. Strategic placement of different turrets is key, since each turret has it's place and it's special ability.

The creeps come in waves at set intervals. Each wave of creeps has different characteristics, such as immunity to certain towers, extra resistance to certain towers, and the abilities to spawn new creeps, move faster than normal, or fly over the towers instead of following the maze. For each wave, the game rotates among the types of creeps.
