About this app

WPM(Words Per Minute) is a typing app that tracks how fast you type with the intent of helping you improve. It features many quotes of varying difficulties and a timer to track how fast you are typing.

To use the app you simply select a difficulty and then begin typing the words that are highlighted and underlined in blue text. When you finish a word and hit space the word is cleared so you can begin typing the next highlighted/underlined word. When the quote is fully typed it will automatically switch to the next quote and pause the timer, the timer will start when you start typing again.

The difficulties include:
Easy - Smaller quotes with little to no punctuation.
Medium - Moderately difficult and long quotes that have full basic punctuation.
Hard - Harder quotes which are often long and can include all symbols like $%! etc...

To track words per minutes the app uses the standard 5 letters = one word and uses a timer to get the words/second.

The app keeps track of how fast you type by storing you best score, average score and how many quotes you have completed.

What it different from some of the other typing applications is after a word is typed the input is cleared. Normally you can type a full sentence but I feel it feels nicer to have the input cleared after every word so you don't accidentally delete or change text that was already typed earlier.

This app also has some optional online features:
-Google play services online leaderboard(allows you to submit your high score and view other's high scores)
-Gooe play achievements(Unlock achievements getting high words per minute and level your google play account)
-Facebook sharing(Share your highscore with your friends on facebook

All of these online features are optional and the app will work fine without an internet connection.

-Removed the large buttons menu buttons and moved them into the top toolbar

App Permissions

Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
