This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Nord Hunt on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

A scavenger hunt game for the Nord University Steinkjer campus.

The game is at its core a scavenger hunt that encourages the user to explore and get to know the school grounds.
At some locations there are quizzes and anagrams that test the user's knowledge about the school or their studies. These games rely on teamwork to get the most score for the team.
At a fixed location there is a hub with a clicker game meant to create a water cooler effect and encourage students to hang around for a bit and get to know other students.
Finally there is a collectibles game to encourage even more exploring and getting to know the school's staff.
The players play in teams and the score for the top three teams is show in the app. There is also a competition between departments and the top three departments are shown in the app as well as on the school monitors.

Known issues:
- The app may crash while using the scanners on older phones, if this happens just reopen the app and continue playing.
- During the score screen after the quiz the app may show one player the message "Waiting for other players" even if everyone has finished. If this happens just fully close the app and restart. You will still have received score for the quiz.
