About this app

Monet collected a lot of art and kept it tucked away in his bedroom. This included: Delacroix, Corot, Boudin, Jongkind, Manet, Renoir, Caillebotte, Cézanne, Morisot, Pissarro, Rodin and Signac. He also kept "the good stuff" (his words) of his Japanese collection there. He called the first floor art, mostly decorations.

There aren't any pictures of his bedroom and his inventory list was lost during World War II, so this model is done by research from others and intuition. Having built the first floor from scratch, I feel like this version is a pretty good guess to what he would have had for him to get away. It was mentioned that he kept it private from most guests and Renoir thought Claude's collection to be of museum quality. When Monet awoke, he would be able to look out across his garden and the countryside, to see if and where he would like to paint.

I'm offering this game for free (and without ads) as an introduction and companion to the first floor of the home (which is paid). This was a love and passion to create for you, and I hope you have fun escaping with us to Giverny, France, late 1800's.
