I like the art style, the sounds, the mechanics, the depth, etc. Overall it's a cool concept, executed decent. The pitfall is that the experience doesn't seem very dynamic. Once you've played it a few hours, you've basically had your fill. You can unlock better starting stuff, but that doesn't really entice me more into replaying all that much. The difficulty is also pretty steep and linear. You hit a wall eventually where every island just slaughters you with more brutes than you can handle.

The game is entertaining but there is a major glitch that others have complained about. An invader can drop out of the sky when they are either hit by a spearman or an archer. So annoying because you won't know until one of your building is on fire. ALSO, I wish I could control a troop to stay engaged against a particular troop. For example, if you select your infantry to target the archers that came off the boat, they'll run away so you have to keep selecting your troop to chase them.

I've seen these game on YouTube and played it an i love this game i love the pikes in it the archers couldd be better i wish that there was more classics in the game but the game is still 5🌟 good game

No ads. Depth of play with "character progression" of your different squads, the option of perma-death. Mini vikings and a fresh art style. Bad North is a fantastic game. It's simple, yet deep, can be played in a casual way, progressing one island at a time, or you can sit down and campaign away. Highly recommended!!
