Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels. Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them cracks and splinters. That is the “loser,” and I eat the inferior one immediately. The winner gets to go another round. I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher, and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world. Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than the rest. Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength. In this way, the species continues to adapt to its environment. When I reach the end of the pack, I am left with one M&M, the strongest of the herd. Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3×5 card reading, “Please use this M&M for breeding purposes.” This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms. I consider this “grant money.” I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion. There can be only one.

About this app

Stride Jump is a fast paced game, and it's your traditional endless jumper, but with a few twists. It's kinda tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, you'll love it!

What are the "twists" that were mentioned before? Well, for starters, instead of seeing how high you can jump, you stay in the same place, and instead of static platforms, upon landing, they will "dip" and disappear after a gracious amount of time of 0.1 seconds. Oh, and every now and then, an obstacle platform will fall from the sky, either blocking your path to get to your destination platform or simply increasing the platform's falling speed.

That's a lot to take in, and I'm pretty bad at explaining things, so how about you download this game and try it for yourself!

A couple notes:

This game is designed for phones with a 16:9 aspect ratio. On devices with 16:10 ratios, the main menu may be difficult to read (although it's still functional), and you will see two black bars surrounding the screen while in-game.

Finally, I'm just an indie developer who makes games for a hobby. I'm keeping this game 100% free - no ads, no upfront cost, heck, I'm not even asking for donations.

All ratings are appreciated. If you are experiencing an issue, rate the game how you'd like. All I ask is you don't just rate it 1 star and write, "This game sucks!!!!!!1" Rather, please clearly state your issue in the description so I can fix it. When the issue is fixed, please improve your rating! If you like the game, a positive review is appreciated.

^ If you know how to code in C# in Unity, you can try to fix any issue you encounter yourself if you'd like, it's open sourced after all :)

This app does not intentionally collect any sensitive data from users. The only data collected are in-game high scores and whether or not you've unlocked any achievement, which is all handled by Google (In essence, Google may collect some data, but the developer (PJBeans) does not).

New features

- Lucky Luis created a new song, and this one was specifically for Stride Jump! "Striding Along" is now the song played during gameplay.

- Fixed audio issue where audio would overlap the other audio instance if the user returned to the menu and started the game again.

- Removed "Swipe to access the Menu Button". It now appears at the end of a game.
