Star Chindy... nice concept, great graphics, poor execution with glitches! I am very experienced with "rogue type" games such as this. Sadly... on the normal setting, the game is utterly unwinnable. Skhan Fleets are massively overpowered with weapons that can hit you at ranges far beyond any hope of retaliation, dealing brutal (often critical damage) before you can get them into range! And it seems to be impossible to avoid conflict with them, as once you make contact, even with the dialog option to escape... you can't escape! Now onto a few of the glitches I've encountered during 5 days of play... I helped some colonists, and was rewarded with a ship for my fleet. 1-My ship was in perfect condition (undamaged), and my crew had earned enough gold and particles that we had some prime combat gear... once the promised ship was granted to me, I get a message screen "EXPLOSION" then a GAME OVER message! 2-Chindy Ashford (the Captain), and her ship, the Star Chindy are the only mission critical items that must survive to the end of the game... yet on an Away Mission, Sara Collins was ganged up on and subsequently killed. "GAME OVER"! I have lost Shawn Grey, and other secondary NPCs without this consequence previously... 3-The need to completely repair the ship and heal the crew only at rarely appearing Space Stations is ludicrous! Resources and rewards are so scant, and randomly distributed that it is stress inducing. 4-There are often times when I simply cannot control my ships in battle, the swipe motion used to give move orders or change course often fails, resulting in you move the scree around while your ship sits in place taking a concentrated pounding from the enemy fleets (the "Auto Pilot" function unerringly steers your ship directly into the enemy and their barrage of now concentrated firepower rather than the evasive courses you would do)! To date I have never completed Chapter 2 of the Story before being destroyed! Nice game design, good graphics... but so many untenable obstacles to completing the game are built in that it soon becomes more frustrating than fun!

Controls take some getting used to. It would be nice if you could order your ships en masse since it's real-rime battles. Maybe have them start with a couple of their weapons on rather than having to click on each ship individually and turn on their defensive systems. The ground combat is turn-based so it lends itself well to tactics. Checkpoints would be nice so you dont lose ALL progress with a single defeat. Had a battle where I was drawing it out and said 1 more turn to complete then g.o

Really really good game. Takes a while to get fully into the swing of it however becomes a really fun game once you do. A mixture of space battles when ship encounters happen (all in "real time") and turn based strategy when it comes to crew based action. Some little things let it down which is why only four stars, but really a good game.

Better than I expected, however the ai are weird, sometimes they kick my ass easy on rare occasions, but I can run circles around them most of the time. I'd like to see more, hopefully more like XCOM or something with how they do actions.

I absolutely love this game. There is one thing that is really frustrating. There is a timer on battles. This means that although I have amped up my flea to be super powerful as I try to defend allied ships against waves and waves of enemies I merely run out of time. Possibly because I'm not charging it them headlong trying to get killed. Perhaps punishing players for not using suicidal tactics is a mistake.

An OK game. Average writing: silly dialogue options, bad grammar, typos. Poor balance: Skhan ships are overpowered - long range & high damage weaponry, teleport, almost never runs out of energy if used right. Other ships are very limited in capabilities and could use some buffs. Normal difficulty is a bit too high. Weird economy: healing crew members costs much more than repairing ship's hull. Can't sell ships, exchange resources, flee combat, start battle with primary weaps on, etc.
