About this app

This is a tool I wrote for myself to get away from using an Excel spreadsheet to help to calculate the optimal balance between event resources in the game Pocket Politics. The game states the following: "Bonuses multiply with each other, so balance your resources to maximize profits". This tool was created to do that.

Five numeric fields are required:
• The current amount of the first resource you have earned
• The current amount of the second resource you have exchanged for (from the first resource)
• The cost (in units - the exchange rate) it takes to convert X units of the first resource into one unit of the second resource
• The bonus percentage earned from each of the first resource
• The bonus percentage earned from each of the second resource

All five fields must be entered (and they are saved after each successful calculation) and all five values can be found within Pocket Politics.

Once the "Calculate" button is pressed, the app loops through, converting each group of first resource (specified in the 3rd field) into one of the second resource and calculating the total bonus pct that would be applied. If the total bonus pct keeps going up, then the app goes to the next calculation until it finds that the total bonus pct begins to go down. The last combination of first and second resources before the total bonus pct began to go down, is the optimal combination and the app shows the targeted second resource amount. It would be up to the user to exchange until that number is reached.

Just to keep everyone happy, I will quote the disclaimer from the app here:

"This utility was written for the sole purpose to calculate the optimal balance between event resources in Pocket Politics. This utility was created by Linwood Software Development, LLC and has no relationship whatsoever with Pocket Politics, Ultra Bit or Kongregate. No copyright is claimed in any way. No warranty is expressed or implied in any way and the use of this product is at your own risk.

Yes, this small app is supported by a banner ad - but my Dog needs kibble, so get over it."

New features

Fixed a rather glaring bug in calculating optimal resources in the renouncement screen.
