It's an atractive pixel art game, it has reasonable difficulty progression, overall it's an enchanting experience.

It's only going to get better. This game feels casual and fits well into the mobile category. It's great to finally have a fun new little fishing game to play when I want to. No daily quests or missions to unlock currency, just 5 bucks for a world of fishing bliss. Fish are always biting but it's not always easy to catch them! The art style fits well with the overall leisurely nature but conveys what it needs to down to river currents and weather. I can't recommend this game enough!

I've been following River Legends from the start, and I must say that Dantat have delivered! The gorgeous pixel graphics hooked me, and the mood reeled me in. On the mood, the visuals is obviously fantastic, and they're only fortified by the incredible audio, both the sound effects and the theme music. Birds chirping, fish splashing up through the surface, and waterfalls breaking on the rocks -- these ambient sounds help to make River Legends the relaxing, neat little game that the developer intended it to be. Ah, and the weather. That really helped bring it to life. I could imagine myself out there, on the edge of the pond, toughing it in my rain jacket and fishing with a smile. As for the actual game elements, I found it a little clunky at times. My line got snagged a few times in the open water, for instance, and sometimes my catch would seem to jump across the screen. But these occurrences were few are far between, and certainly fixable. I also found the user interface a little awkward. The text (particularly in the hints menu) was difficult to read, and I had to keep looking back to the shop to see which fly I was using. For the latter, why not put a description on the lid of the tackle-box, which is currently just a semi-transparent rectangle? I loved the exploratory elements, and I feel that, even though I have explored a few caves and what not, there is more to see! Allowing access to gold like that also helps to eliminate the grind, which some players, particularly those from a video game background, may feel. Overall, the game is prize winner, but it can certainly improve, and I'm quite excited to see where Dantat will take it from here.

The beautiful pixel artwork and realistic fly fishing actions in this unique game are true gems. Incredible backgound music and natural sound effects are the icing on the cake. The journey as you attempt to catch various species of fish and eventually succeed in landing the "River Legend" is a thrill in itself. Keep on the lookout for hidden places to explore and surprise sightings. This game is a must!

I find most phone-based gaming to be abysmal, but this lovely little adventure is a gem amongst bedrock. The controls are simple, but fighting a fish on your line is satisfying. The pixelated nature is pretty and relaxing. I would say a sequel to this game could use a better framework of progression so you haven't done everything there is to do in about an hour, and more interaction with the environment.

Cool relaxing vibe and ambience. Fun addicting fishing game play with no ads, just like nature! Polished pixel art that's really enjoyable to experience. Well worth the cost of the paid version - let's reward these people for no ads and no annoying in-app purchases. In short, this is a good minimalist fly fishing simulation in glorious visual retro style.
