I've just completed the Rusty Lake games and was looking for something similar. I liked it a lot except I couldn't figure out the second book puzzle, even after studying the walkthroughs, which don't explain it, and I couldn't figure out how the diary fit in...maybe they went together? I searched for written steps and videos with narration, but there was nothing. So, for these reasons I give this game 3 stars. However, I liked it so much that I will purchase the complete game, then reevaluate😁

UPDATE: In my previous rating I reported that the game would not open on my Kindle Fire. I got a new device and I was able to play the game. I liked it. Some very clever puzzles. Design and graphics were good although some may find them very similar to a certain other developer's style. I had one glitch where I was unable to pick up one of the items. I could not procede until I restarted the game. Overall it was a satisfying escape game and I'd like to play more games from this developer.

Graphics were average. There were alot of elements that didn't contribute to the game, like the diary. I couldn't solve the second bookcase and there was no explanation online about how to solve it, including in the walkthroughs. A hint button would improve the game play.

I liked the design of the game. But I was stuck and just stared out the window in it for awhile. And then... Well, not to spoil it, but that creeped me out enough I'm not sure if I want to continue. 5/5 for that!
