Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Zomboid | Create, Share, Survive (Unreleased) on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Join the early access beta now!

Play one of three official maps or create one of your own. Zomboid's new Level Builder you can create unique maps and share them with your friends. Zomboid features fast, arcade style gameplay. Your goal is to rack up as many zomboid kills and survive as long as you can. You can set traps, build turrets, or blow 'em to bits with some grenades.
A story mode is currently in development, check back here (or on our site) for updates.


---Map Import/Export Info---
Maps are imported and exported from /Zomboid/Saves/
Each map is saved as a .zpkg file.
To share an exported map: navigate to Zomboid/Saves/ and find "yourmap.zpkg" and share .zpkg file to friend.
To import a custom map: copy an existing .zpkg file to Zomboid/Saves/ and then boot Zomboid and goto the Play menu.
