Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing EagleAR Capstone on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

EagleAR assists Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Prescott's Chinese Language and Asian Studies students in learning the Mandarin Chinese language. Students can practice what they are learning in the classroom in a new, interactive Augmented Reality (AR) experience. The app will send students around the ERAU Prescott Campus to a set of points of interests. At each location, the students will be given a task to complete including a question related to their course.

New features

This release is what was presented at the ERAU senior Software Engineer Capstone Intermediate Design Review.

Known Bugs:
1) The question will not appear correctly when in Augmented Reality View.
2) Background touching is not turned off so touching Menu Buttons may affect the Map.
3) In the Settings under the Menu, the options are not tied to the phone so they do not do anything
4) The points do not reflect the current points earned.
