Passant de l’état solide, à l’état liquide et parfois même à l’état gazeux, Marius parcourra cinq pays. Ainsi, Marius surfera sur les paquebots à Honolulu, traversera la dense population du Caire, volera sur les ailes de Brasilia, se faufilera parmi les vélos d’Amsterdam, et sillonnera les rues de Shanghai, la ville la plus peuplée du monde.

Subventionné par le ministère de l’Éducation de l’Ontario, ce jeu de plateforme à vocation éducative se veut une introduction au programme de géographie de la huitième année.
La joueuse ou le joueur dirige les déplacements Marius et le fait changer d’état selon les circonstances qu’il rencontre, pour mieux vaincre les obstacles physiques et poursuivre sa quête.
Tout au long de son parcours, Marius fait le plein d’énergie en attrapant des gouttelettes d’eau. Les gouttelettes d’or lui révèlent des « faits géographiques » portant sur le lieu visité, qu’il peut consigner dans son Carnet de géographe à la fin de chacune de ses quêtes.
