About this app

Marius, la goutte d’eau, est prêt à se mettre dans tous ses états pour retrouver Mariam, la géographe. Passant de l’état solide, à l’état liquide et parfois même à l’état gazeux, Marius sillonnera cinq pays. Il affrontera ainsi les glaces de l’Himalaya, arpentera les rizières de l’Indonésie, s’élèvera jusqu’à la canopée de la forêt costaricaine pour se faufiler ensuite parmi les voitures d’une ville japonaise ou s’évaporer momentanément dans les geysers d’Islande.

Subventionné par le ministère de l’Éducation de l’Ontario, ce jeu de plateforme à vocation éducative se veut une introduction au programme de géographie de la septième année.

La joueuse ou le joueur dirige les déplacements de Marius et le fait changer d’état selon les circonstances qu’il rencontre pour mieux vaincre les obstacles physiques et poursuivre sa quête. Tout au long de son parcours, Marius fait le plein d’énergie en attrapant des gouttelettes d’eau. Les gouttelettes d’or lui révèlent des « faits géographiques » portant sur le pays visité, qu’il peut consigner dans son Carnet de géographe à la fin de chacune de ses quêtes.
Le graphisme impressionnant de ce jeu reproduit avec exactitude les particularités géographiques de chaque pays visité par Marius.
