About this app

Clever Colors is a brain teaser game with one simple rule: read the name of the color and tap the rectangle painted with the corresponding color. If the text says "Green", tap the green rectangle!

Surely sounds easy, huh? Well, there's a catch... the name of the color will be painted with a random color. Loose your focus, and you will be tapping the wrong color. Let's see how far you can get!

What? You still think this is too easy? Then try Hard Mode! In this mode, the background turns black at random. When that happens, the rules are reversed: you should tap the rectangle painted with the color that matches the text's color, and not its name. A good way to test how well you adapt to changes!

- Think you can go on forever? Try Survival Mode! Keep going until your focus fails on you!
- Check the Leaderboards and see how well you fare against players around the world.
- Try to win all those achievements!

For those wondering, the reaction delay caused by the dissonance between the color's name and its printed color is a well-known effect called "Stroop effect". It is named after John Ridley Stroop, who first published about it in 1929.
