About this app

Let Millie Mouse guide you through a series of simple tests to test and enhance your knoweldge with money and paying for goods. Millie wants your help to buy her some cupcakes for all her friends so they can have a tea party. With her animated antics and cute voice you will be compelled to beat your high scores in a test designed to challenge and engage. Improve your money skills with lots of help and encouragement from Millie. With an easy level selection system to specify how hard the questions are, it is easy to tailor this application to any level of year 1 or year 2 maths development. Each coin is portrayed in a realistic UK denomination and covers, 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2.
A series of cupcakes are shown in the shop and with Millie giving hints and encouragement you need to move the coins from Millie's purse at the bottom of the screen to the top, but make sure your coins add up to the correct price. The faster you do this the more points you score. When the test is finished, your score is shown against the high score for that level and Millie makes a comment.
This app is designed for children from 5 to 7 years old, it is to supplement and re-enforce in an easy and fun way the maths they have been learning at school in years one and two (Key Stage 1, KS1). By increasing the level you can slowly increase the difficulty as the player gets better. The score is calculated by how quickly each question is solved, so better scores come from faster responses. Again improving their mental math ability. This app is designed for the UK and its monetary system of coins, other editions will be available or can be requested.
