About this app

Mr.Courville was a teacher at our school in the 1970's. He taught science. He was very passionate about consistently having class outside. He believed nature was something great and was meant to be preserved. That was why he built the Arboretum in 1973. He passed away in a tragic scientific expedition during 1979. He was going scuba diving, when he went to deep and his equipment failed. He was brought to the hospital, where he later passed. -Morgan R. Grade 5

After he died his family and students were very sad and stopped caring for the trees. -Vanessa P. Grade 5

We have been researching actual evidence about the trees and locating real facts about each and every species. We want people to see that each and every tree is important. -Konstantinos P. Grade 5

If you trace the leaves, you will feel Mr. Courville's spirit in the arboretum and help others to feel it too. -Sadie K. Grade 5
