Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing BEEducated on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

BEEducated was created by Adithi Raghavan and Leo Fan in an effort to aid the rapidly declining bee pollination that has been reduced by over 3.5 million since 1947. Seeing how critical pollinators are in our ecosystem and for our economy, we wanted to support them by raising awareness about the plight of bees and promoting the health of other pollinators with an app. Our mission is to empower youth to work with their communities to help bees thrive once again.

Recently, we collaborated with MIT developers on an app dedicated to raising awareness about the plight of bees. The app was sent to over 700 donors and has been downloaded over 300 times nationwide.
